What we collect
Only what you send us. If you fill in the enquiry form we collect your name, phone number, postcode, the type of work you are asking about, and anything you write in the message box. If you email or ring us, we hold whatever you choose to tell us.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your date of birth, financial details or any special category data.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no tracking of any kind, and nothing is stored in your browser. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Our web host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. That is a normal part of hosting any website.
Why we use your information, and the lawful basis

We do not send marketing emails and we do not add you to any mailing list. If you ask us for a quote and do not go ahead, we will not chase you with promotions.
Photographs of your home
We often photograph finished work. We will ask you first before any photograph of your home appears on this website, our Facebook page, or anywhere else. We never publish your address or anything that identifies exactly where you live, and we will take a photograph down if you change your mind. Just ring or email.
Reviews
Reviews on this site show a first name, a last initial and a town. If you have left a review publicly on Google or Facebook we may repeat it here, since it is already public. If you gave feedback to us privately we will ask before publishing it.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell your data and we never will. A small number of suppliers handle it on our behalf in order to run the business:
- Our web host and form provider, who deliver this website and pass enquiry form submissions to us by email
- Our content system, which stores the text and photographs shown on this site
- Our accountant, for invoicing and tax records
- Qualified contractors on our team, where the job needs certified electrical or plumbing work. They receive only what they need to do the job, such as your address and access arrangements.
We may also have to share information where the law requires it, for example Building Regulations notification.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become jobs: up to 12 months, then deleted
- Completed jobs: 6 years after the work finishes, which matches the period we may need records for tax and for any claim about the work
- Photographs published with your consent: until you ask us to remove them
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop using it, or restrict how we use it
- Provide it in a portable format
Just ring or email and we will sort it out. We will respond within one month, and there is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we have a chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, atico.org.ukor on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
